Odessa is the third largest Ukrainian city after Kiev and Kharkiv. It is a major industrial, scientific, cultural center. The city is located at the Black Sea coast, and is one of the most popular resorts in Ukraine.

The city has moderately continental climate. Winter is usually mild and short with an average temperature (0C – 1C). Snow and the temperature below minus 10C are very rare. Summer is usually long and hot and an average temperature is about 26C. Sometimes it can reach up to 35C.
Odessa has a great architectural and cultural heritage. Many local residential constructions were build up in a variety of styles. The city possesses numerous sites to see. The most famous are: Deribasovskaya Street, Potemkin Steps, Frantsuskiy Boulevard, the Catacomb, Privoz Farmers’ Market, the Beach.
