Dneprodzerzhynsk (Dniprodzerzhynsk in Ukrainian), city, east central Ukraine, a port on the Dnieper River.

Located in a region rich in coal and iron ore, it is a major industrial center, producing iron and steel, machinery, cement, and chemicals.

The city was founded in the mid-18th century as Kamenskoye and received its present name in 1936. Population (estimate) 284,000.
